Kathy is passionate about organizational development and HR advisory for start-ups and small to mid-size businesses. Managing the people aspects of organizations can be a challenge, from selecting and implementing systems for automation of HR administration, to hiring and retaining great talent, to building a culture positioned for success. With the volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity of current times, traditional best practices may not work in the future. Kathy believes there is no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to growing organizations and their people, but also believes all the intelligence needed to do so lies within.
Having spent much of her career as Global Head of HR in a financial services firm that specialized in commodity risk management, Kathy was responsible for payroll, benefits, and HR governance that supported growth to over 1,200 employees located in the U.S., UK, Brazil, Canada, Australia, Ireland, Singapore, and China. She had key responsibilities in the launch of the company’s ESOP, IPO, and spearheading HR due diligence for the purchase and integration of five major acquisitions and mergers. She built a cross-functional human resources team with a strong culture that provided the foundation for the continuous growth of the company’s strategic and administrative needs.
Kathy orignially joined e2E in 2015 to launch the HR Practice area. In 2018 she began her own advisory practice to focus full time on team bulding and culture as an Authorized DiSC Partner with Wiley. She is very excited about her return to e2E. With a renewed focus on supporting e2E’s thriving HR practice, she will continue the HR Practice area work with a dash of lean start-up principles, design thinking, and Agile team concepts.
Kathy holds certifications as a SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional), GPHR (Global Professional in HR), as well as in IC-Agile Adaptive Organizational Design and Agile Coaching. In 2018, she co-founded Culture Matters, a monthly roundtable discussion on all things culture. She also currently serves as a mentor with DallasHR and as a Subject Matter Expert for the GPHR exam development with HRCI.
