An accounting professional with a strong foundation in both technical accounting and process improvement, Tenslee enjoys helping businesses bring clarity to their financial operations. Drawn to numbers and problem-solving from an early age, she sees accounting as a practical way to support organizations and help them operate more effectively.
While earning her degree, Tenslee began her career at a local accounting firm, supporting small businesses with bookkeeping and payroll. After graduating and moving to Kansas City, she joined the internal finance team of an organization providing accounting and consulting services to government-sponsored health and human service programs. There, she deepened her accounting expertise while focusing on operational efficiency and internal process improvements. Starting in a staff-level role while still in school, Tenslee earned multiple promotions, including a manager position, driven by her commitment to both strong execution and helping others grow.
She values collaboration and takes pride not only in doing the work well, but in supporting teammates and strengthening the overall function.
Tenslee holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Business Administration from Missouri State University.
Originally from Springfield, Missouri, Tenslee now lives in Liberty, MO with her husband and their two children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, and tackling crafts and home projects together.
