After spending the first 15 years of her career as the controller for an engineering firm, Sandra leapt into the nonprofit world to handle business affairs for the elite O’More College of Architecture and Design in Franklin, Tennessee.
Known for embracing change, Sandra transitioned into manufacturing accounting and later to overseeing food service operations for prisons and jails. She managed state and regional territories for Aramark and Elior North America, part of a firm based in Paris.
The food service positions came after her time as the chief financial officer for the Tennessee Rehabilitative Initiative in Correction (TRICOR), a self-supporting agency that runs the industries manned by inmates, including running the kitchens.
At another point in her career, Sandra briefly found her way back into nonprofits — as the interim chief financial officer for the largest food pantry in Tennessee — before joining e2E in May 2025.
Sandra uses her varied experience to demystify finances for business leaders. She loves that aha-moment when an executive says, “Hey, Sandra, I’m noticing a trend here.”
Her operational experience allows her to help clients dig beyond the numbers to see if tweaking processes can help achieve financial goals, similar to how she controlled costs by ensuring inmate food service workers followed recipes to the letter.
As a district manager with Aramark, Sandra managed 12 prisons in Tennessee — even turning a projected first-year deficit of $435,000 into a $1.4 million profit. With Elior, she handled contracts worth $72 million across 13 states and 80 county jails.
With e2E, Sandra also draws upon the experience she gained in helping O’More College establish an endowment, improving the budgeting system at TRICOR, and buttoning up the financial processes at the food pantry, including moving it from cash to accrual accounting.
Sandra holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN.
Born and raised in Ohio, Sandra and her husband raised their family in the greater Nashville area. They have two grown children — a son and a daughter — who still come to family dinners each Sunday with close family. Dinner starts promptly at 6 p.m. Sandra starts cooking after coming home from church. Also, part of the family is Ford, their long-haired German Shepherd.
Sandra’s pastimes include gardening, volunteering with Middle Tennessee Golden Retriever Rescue, and sewing baby blankets for those in need. She also plays bass clarinet in her church orchestra, an instrument she has played since fifth grade. The orchestra played at Carnegie Hall in March 2024.
