As a CFO Consultant/Controller with more than 35 years of experience as a CPA, including 15 years in public accounting and 20 years as the CFO of a private school, Sherry is passionate about serving mission-driven, nonprofit organizations and developing the people she works alongside. For Sherry, finance is not just about reporting numbers—it’s about uncovering the stories and trends behind them, so leaders can make informed, confident decisions.
During her time as CFO of a private school, Sherry led financial management and reporting for both school leadership and the board, oversaw budgeting and scenario modeling, and administered tuition assistance programs with care and confidentiality. Her work supported long-term planning and growth while ensuring donor and mission alignment. Earlier in her career, she served as an audit manager for a nonprofit-focused public accounting firm, mentoring staff, and presenting results to clients and their boards.
She is known for her collaborative and enthusiastic approach, valuing communication as much as precision. Sherry enjoys helping both clients and team members grow, fostering environments where people feel supported and motivated.
Sherry earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Southern Illinois University.
Originally from a farm in southern Illinois, Sherry developed her lifelong love of family and nature early on. Outside of work, Sherry treasures family dinners and movie nights, often spending her free time hiking, boating, and fishing. Sherry also enjoys visiting national parks and pausing to take in beautiful sunsets.
