Meet Jennifer Douglas

Jennifer’s love of accounting started in high school. Algebra and Trigonometry were her favorite subjects until she took an accounting class. She landed her first job in accounting while she was still in high school, keeping the books for a local auto repair business and even occasionally helping in the garage.

Jennifer has experience in a variety of industries. She has worked in both public accounting and private firms including a cardiologist practice, construction material supplier, and a property management company with hundreds of accounts. Jennifer loves a challenge and would even get excited when someone would come in with a bag of receipts which she could turn into a financial statement.

A Kansas City native, Jennifer earned an associate degree from Maple Woods Community College and then a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Missouri – Kansas City. In her spare time, you can find Jennifer watching her daughter play softball and enjoying spending time with her husband, daughter, and their three dogs. Although Kansas City is still home, Jennifer and her family currently reside in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area where they spend time on the family farm helping with the cattle and mending fences.
