Iliana’s passion for accounting stems from her early recognition of how numbers narrate the story of a business. She thrives on the inherent structure and precision of accounting, finding purpose in ensuring organizations maintain compliance and financial stability. For her, accounting seamlessly blends analytical thinking with tangible, practical impact, inspiring her continued advancement in the field.
Her experience spans banking, payroll setup and processing, accounts receivable and payable, sales tax, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. She’s also skilled in individual and business tax preparation. Early in her career, Iliana was entrusted to manage one of two vaults at her bank within just four months and later became an administrative lead, training new hires and improving operational processes. A QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor, she plans to return to school to complete her associate degree in accounting.
Born in Villagrán, Guanajuato, Mexico, Iliana moved to the U.S. at age five and grew up in Nevada, Missouri. She now lives in the Kansas City area with her husband and close to other family. Outside of work, Iliana loves cooking, baking, and continuing family traditions that bring everyone together, filling her kitchen with laughter.
