Loving numbers and a good challenge, David sees accounting as a way to support people in doing what they do best. His interest in math began early—through AP Calculus and trigonometry—and grew stronger during his time in the Marine Corps, where an accounting class sparked the decision to make it his career.
While on active duty in the Marine Corps, David earned his associate and bachelor’s degrees in accounting from Strayer University. Shortly after retiring from the Marine Corps he earned a master’s degree from the University of Utah. He began his career in accounts receivable before moving into a role overseeing all accounting functions for a painting company in Salt Lake City, UT. Since then, he has held a variety of roles helping businesses gain financial clarity and peace of mind. A favorite milestone in his career was earning recognition that sent him on a trip to the final states on his bucket list, completing visits to all 48 contiguous states.
Originally from Orem, Utah, David has lived all over the world thanks to his military service, from Okinawa, Japan to Quantico, Virginia. Today, he and his wife are raising their two youngest children north of Kansas City, Missouri. He has also served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America. Outside of work, David enjoys woodworking, building his family’s home, and finding new places to explore.
