Meet Beth Sherry

Beth Sherry

Senior Accounting Consultant

Beth grew up in a family business where her father and uncle ran the department store that was established in 1926 by her grandfather and great-uncle. Being a part of the family business inspired her to study business and accounting at the University of Oklahoma, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Degree in Accounting as well as an MBA. Beth loves interacting with clients and helping them with their accounting, allowing them to focus on their mission.

Beth started her career in Kansas City, working in the financial services sector assisting community banks with accounting and reporting of their investment portfolios. After spending much of her free time volunteering in the community, she developed an interest in nonprofit organizations. Beth made the decision to work with nonprofits professionally when she joined the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation’s client accounting team, providing accounting services to a variety of organizations. After being a freelance accountant for small businesses for a few years, Beth joined the Alzheimer’s Association as the controller of the local Heart of America Chapter and eventually, a regional accounting manager.

Beth is a native of Ada, OK, lifelong Oklahoma Sooner fan, and loves cheering on Kansas City’s sports teams. She’s active in the Belinder Elementary PTA and recently finished her term as treasurer. When they aren’t watching their daughter and son play sports, she and her husband, Mike, enjoy reading and spending time with friends and family.
