Meet Amy Mailes

Amy enjoys human resources because it offers a variety of ways for her to help teams reach their goals.

In 15-plus years as an HR professional, Amy has worked in the retail distribution, food manufacturing, and grocery industries. Her responsibilities have included employee relations, recruiting, training, leave administration, and crafting benefit packages.

Throughout her career, Amy has demonstrated an ability to boost recruitment and retention by improving workforce culture. Amy also takes special pride in mentoring new HR associates and bolstering staff confidence through training.

Amy excels at crafting job descriptions that attract the best talent. She has experience recruiting for positions from part-time employees to C-Suite positions. Additionally, Amy has strong experience in performance management and succession planning.

Originally from a small farming town in northeast North Dakota, where her family owned a small business, Amy has lived in the Kansas City metro area for more than 16 years. She holds bachelor of science degrees in communications from Minnesota State University and in human resources from Kansas State University.

Amy and her husband have a son and two miniature dachshunds. She enjoys traveling and watching sports, including cheering on her son in his various sporting activities.
