Meet Amy Harvey

Amy Harvey

Accounting Consultant

For Amy, accounting isn’t just about numbers—it’s about solving puzzles. With over a decade of experience spanning industries like multi-unit restaurant franchises, law firms, and nonprofits, Amy thrives on bringing clarity and order to complex financials. She finds satisfaction in placing each piece where it belongs, helping businesses uncover and understand the financial stories that shape their success.
Amy’s career is marked by hands-on accomplishments, including building a fixed asset register from the ground up for a new client—an initiative that enabled accurate depreciation tracking and a clearer financial picture. Her expertise includes revenue recognition, fund accounting, and shareholder equity tracking, making her a valuable asset in any accounting operation.
Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Amy moved to Kansas City in 2017 after meeting her husband on a blind date. She holds both a BBA and an MBA with an Accounting Concentration from Friends University.
Outside the office, Amy is an avid fiber arts enthusiast who enjoys weaving and knitting. She’s also a proud member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, where she participates in medieval reenactments. A longtime lover of quirky cars, she’s part of the Kansas City Mini Enthusiasts and has owned several Mini Coopers—most recently a bright yellow convertible named Hightower.
